IDOR is a United States nonprofit organization, established exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and/or scientific  purposes under section 501(c )(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Our Mission is as follows:

​

• To promote and advance the teachings and life example of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I, the 225th Negus in the line of King Solomon as the means to restore the pride and human dignity of African people in Africa and through the Diaspora, and as the means through which the “legitimate aspirations” of the poor may be attained.

• To promote and support the Spiritual, economical, educational, and social infrastructure development of the Ras Tafari communities incluing, Shashamane, Shoa Province, Ethiopia.

​

• To promote and support the repatriation of Ras Tafari individuals and families to Shashamane, and the repatriation of Africans in the Diaspora to Africa generally.

• To increase the knowledge of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I for Ras Tafari people worldwide as well as the African peoples within the African continent and Diaspora.

• To create and support programs that strengthen the ability of the Ras Tafari nation to become self-supporting and sustainable.

IDOR was established in 2004, during the Golden Jubilee of H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie I first visit to the United States.  IDOR remains steadfast in its Mission!
