In 2008 IDOR established a weekly Study Forum/Group at the behest of Elder Father Irice and with the direction of Dej. Ras Kwasi Bonsu, Esq. The aim of the Forum is to study the teachings of H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie I, as recorded in The Selected Speeches a publication made available to the public through the Ethiopian Information Ministry. The study group also examines passages from the Bible that relate to Ethiopian history and Emperor Haile Selassie I.

 

The Forums also facilitate discussions on IDOR's local, regional and international community initiatives.

 

In order to carry out the Forum's objectives, IDOR forged a relationship with Sankofa Bookstore, located in Washington D.C., to secure adequate acommodations.

The IDOR Study Forums are currently held on select Saturday evenings, at private locations in Washington D.C.
